Phumlani Njilo: Big Zulu “Won’t Last Four Rounds”
Grab your notepads, folks, because Phumlani Njilo wants you to mark his words: he is confident that he will beat rapper Big Zulu three rounds into their boxing match.
This Saturday, 9 December, the businessman and the “Donsa Nkabi” hitmaker will touch gloves at the Durban ICC arena in KwaZulu-Natal.
While Big Zulu has only one match under his belt – which he won back in April after knocking out reality star/bodyguard Brian Dings in the first round – Njilo himself has been boxing for at least four years.
So far, his record stands at 6-1; judging by an interview published by a local media outlet on Thursday, 7 December, he plans to make it 7-1.
“I watched Big Zulu’s first match,” Njilo said. “He [had] a weak opponent and he’s going to be surprised when he gets to rumble with an experienced boxer like me.
“I’m training hard, sometimes twice a day. I’m way faster than Big Zulu. I also have way more stamina than him, which is [to] my advantage. He won’t last four rounds in the ring. Big Zulu is going down in the third round.”
Guess we’ll have to wait and see whether or not Njilo’s predictions will ring true!
